Friends, we're over the moon that you're here. We're hovering somewhere outside ourselves, over said luminous moon, blissed out at the thought of you here for this thing we're doing. Listen, we're a little terrified too but mostly, we're over the moon. We've been dreaming of building this (these tours, this community) for a long time now and it took some doing but we're here, we're finally here.
This is for you if your favorite thing is to go where you've never been. If the words above from Diane Arbus hit you so squarely in the chest you had to sit down for a second. If you thought, yes. Yes, Diane. Same. This is for you if you feel most alive wandering unknown streets in storied places, if a camera feels good and right in your hands and making pictures feels something like a mother tongue. This is for you if you send postcards to friends but also (sometimes) to yourself. If you could sit and watch strangers pass for hours on end while writing little stories about them in your head. This is for you if you brake for color, for light, for book shops and junk shops and open air markets where the sights and sounds swirl so furiously around you, you're not sure where the scene begins and you end. This is also for you if you solidly believe your very best years are ahead of you. If you long for genuine creative community and have entered these grand mid-life decades hungry for meaningful friendships but have maybe been a little hard-pressed to find them. And this is absolutely for you if the brilliance of women everywhere inspires you and you believe (with your whole self) that we are strongest and brightest when we lean into this community and wholly support and celebrate each other.
